Legal information
Privacy policy
This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it. The data controller is the publisher of the site, presented in the legal notice.
Data we collect
We only collect what you give us, on three occasions:
- when you register for an event;
- when you fill in the form to join the lamma;
- when you send us a partnership request.
Depending on the form, this is:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, if you choose to give it;
- your city;
- your interests;
- your level;
- your company name, for a partnership request;
- your message.
What it is used for
- managing event registrations;
- keeping you informed of events and club news, if you have joined the lamma;
- answering your partnership request.
Legal basis
- Event registrations: your registration request, which we need to process to book you a spot.
- Joining the lamma: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Partnership requests: our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive.
- Form protection: our legitimate interest in preventing abusive submissions. To limit the number of submissions, we keep an encrypted, non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address, never the address itself, for two hours at most.
Retention period
- Members: 3 years after your last contact with us. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted within 30 days.
- Event registrations: 1 year after the event.
- Partnership requests: 3 years after our last exchange.
- History of emails sent: 1 year.
This data is deleted automatically at the end of these periods.
Your rights
You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, object to its processing, receive it in a readable format, or withdraw your consent: write to us at contact@lamma-club.com. Every announcement or welcome email also contains an unsubscribe link, and every email linked to an event registration contains a link to cancel that registration. Deleting your member profile does not erase your event registrations: they are kept for the period stated above.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, at cnil.fr.
Our service providers
- Resend: sending emails;
- Supabase: data hosting;
- Vercel: site hosting and audience measurement;
- Slack: the team's internal notifications. They only contain your first name and the initial of your last name, never your email, your phone number or your message.
These four providers are companies based in the United States. When your data is transferred to them, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
Cookies and audience measurement
The site sets no third-party cookies and does not track you from one site to another.
- Necessary cookies. One cookie remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner for six months. The admin area, reserved for the organisers, uses session cookies to keep their login open. These cookies are used for nothing else and do not require your consent.
- Display preference. If you choose the Light or Night theme at the bottom of the page, this choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device, and stays there until you change it. It is never sent to our servers, is only used to display the site as you chose, and does not require your consent. To erase it, choose “Auto” or clear the site's data in your browser.
- Audience measurement. We measure the site's traffic with Vercel Analytics: no cookies, nothing stored on your device, no tracking from one site to another. Because it stores nothing, this measurement works for everyone, whatever your choice.
- Marketing. No advertising cookies today.
If we ever add a measurement or advertising tool that uses cookies, it will only be activated with your consent, category by category. You can change your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
